Who invented the Basbousa?

Basbousa also known as hareseh, is a traditional  sweet cake that initiated in Egypt although it is also admired in other countries. Basbousa is usually prepared in a pan and classically cut into square shapes or diamond shapes.


Does Basbousa need to be refrigerated? 

It is recommended that the Basbousa is sliced after it cools down, do not cut it when hot. Any leftovers is better to be put in a closed container and left in a room temperature area.
